Caring for your Jewellery

For ring sizes - see page at bottom of our website under the Information heading  'ring sizes'.

Sterling Silver jewellery can be carefully cleaned with sterling sliver polish cloths.  Please do not use other silver polish liquids or treated cloths as they may damage the surface of the silver.

Freshwater pearls are porous and must be cleaned using a dry soft cloth.  Do not use silver polish cloth on pearls and do not immerse pearls in water.  They are susceptible to damage by make-up or sprays and should be stored separately from metal jewellery which can scratch them.  Best kept wrapped in a soft cloth.

Spray your perfume, hairspray etc. on before you put your jewellery on. Never spray anything directly on to your jewellery. Jewellery should be the last thing that you put on and the first thing that you take off when getting changed.

Where possible try to avoid wearing your jewellery when washing up, showering, swimming, on sunbeds etc.   Be careful when handling bleach, hair dyes, nail varnish, nail remover etc., as this can strip precious metals of their colour.

Keep each item of jewellery separate to help eliminate knocks and scratches from other items of jewellery.

Try not to keep touching your diamonds, pearls other stones as the natural oils in your fingers can rub off and will eventually dull the appearance.

Items of jewellery should only be worn for periods not exceeding 24 hours. Jewellery should not be worn overnight as threads from your bedding can get caught in the settings or fastenings.

Earrings, bracelets, pendants and necklaces and accessories with decorations are not suitable for children under the age of 3 due to small parts.  Jewellery items are not suitable for use in play.
